I got there at 9:15, when DJ Lewis Keough was on, spinning some fine UK stylee techno. I thought the Galaxy was a shite venue, way too packed in. The St. Louis crowd was fucking lame as usual, with a few exceptions, almost everyone was fronting and posing and hardly anyone was dancing when the Orb were actually on. Of course, as soon as the show was finished the lemmings flocked into the next room to get on Astroboy's tip, who played the usual set of boring old Chicago house. As for the Orb's performance, I definitely thought the 4/27 performance was superior, although I thought they played a fine version of 'Blue Room', and the opening 'Plateau' was beautiful. Got a really funny flyer from the Quazar people, talking all that old ass SOL bullshit. I can't believe people actually swallow that crap these days.... -- wally@nicar.org 'cause organizational skills kills more devils than bullets...
