Date: Wed, 9 Apr 1997 13:46:27 -0500 (CDT) From: "roger kumar" [snip] This weekend was a good followup to the rolla house party last weekend... which wasn't as smaked as Xenon or Argon, but not that bad. Wally came up from columbia and gave us a wonderfully dark jungle set.. Cylert and Ben-E came up from st. louis to spin hiphop, but i didn't really hang out upstairs at all, and missed ben-e's set completely. kenny from waynesville came and spun hiphop too. And these cool cool guys from KC brought Trackspots(!!) as well as live vid projection stuff that went unused. The space was too small, and Gauss was our last party there. But 1803 has been good to us: the sixteen hour Big Phat Phlesh Phry.. Argon and Xenon, which were probably two of the best rolla parties ever, Faraday, when everything went right, and Gauss, which was short, but very intense until it died. There weren't zillions of people hanging outside at Faraday and Gauss, a good trend I suppose, people are comming more for the music than because they are bored and wanna drink. but i guess thats why those parties were soo packed. remember when mike played i-spy at argon? that was cool :) Communication is more important than entertainment. :) Anyway, we aren't gonna throw anything partywise for a while.. Thanks to everyone that's come up and helped out at the 1803 parties. [snip!]
