Date: Wed, 13 Aug 1997 21:01:07 -0500 (CDT) ok.. this information is mostly correct, but let me elaborate on some things... > > Apparently, the security force was told to leave earlier than they > wanted to (because they wanted more money), so they told the police that they were being unprofessional and not doing their job most of the night... then at about 2:30 i overheard them talking about getting their $100 at 3:00 and going home... (WHAT? a hundred dollars??!!? GOOD LORD thats alot of money!!) i told Jamie what was up and he went and talked to them, gave them each $60 and sent them home... the police came about 1/2 hour later... > there was underage drinking going on at the party. HOWEVER! _if_ the owners of the space had obtained the proper permits and licenses, which they assured us many, many times they had, the party would have continued _regardless_ of what the security did or what one cop thinks is too loud... THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS: dont trust anyone... _especially_ the people who own that space... several other people have had problems there too... BEWARE! > > Props to James and Xjn for trying. (actually, a limited number of flyers of a different design were printed in color on clear acetate... they looked really, really cool.) > > > > Was it because the flier was a black & white xerox? Nick Nice's records were, in fact, LOST by TWA. he did spin tho... he borrowed somebody elses records(Brad's i believe). then the cops showed up. :( the airline did locate the records the next day. > > > > Man, party-people in this city are lame. St Louis is lame... TWA sucks... dont trust people... people who are bigger than you will demand more money than they agreed upon... ect... we learned alot. Thanks to everyone who helped with the party in all its stages of development... especially those individuals who made the second room a reality... the DJ's, sound people, decorators, and people who brought equipment together into a whole and put that finishing touch on a great evening... thanks again guys. shit, the lab is closing... ok, well gotta go... thanks to everyone who came out, hope you had a good time. thats what counts. talk to you later... Xjn. ps... does anyone know anything about StepWise records? any contact info? thanks...
