Here are some links to early work at hyperreal:
How to throw your own outdoor renegade dance party rave thing. Ok, this was written over 13 years ago, but I think it's still a bit relevant. http://hyperreal.org/raves/spirit/connecting/NWRaves_FMR_Planning.html

Here's my waaaay old Dj setup, pic from '93! Incidently, I used prototype camera compliments of Big Missile Company to take this pic which is now used on hyperreal's homepage!

Also from 1993, So you want to be a DJ (a beginners perspective). It's a how to be a dj thing from back in the day. Ya. http://music.hyperreal.org/dj/so_you_want.txt

A bit of trivia: I wrote these up when I was working for HAC.com, a big defense company that I used to work for building all kinds of secret, nasty stuff. HAC.com was part of the arpa/darpa network, kinda the precursor to the Internet... I resigned after 10 years and many international assignments.

I've always been interested in alternative uses for technology. In the early 90's I thought it would be cool to use this new form of communications provided by Big Missile Company to have some real fun, so I created NW-Raves -- an early, online community bent on organizing parties and talking passionately about music and stuff. Yeeaah. That's the good stuff that really turns my crank.

These days, I'm currently somewhere between NYC, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Sao Paulo or my birthplace Vancouver
