Hi! I'm a 20 something male from the Cincinnati Ohio area. I'm a
computer consultant by day, and by night I help out on hyperreal.org
and profess the goodness of OS/2 while amassing techno-ish cds. And I
like Chinese food.

hi there. i figure after using vrave for almost 3 years (my god, has it been
that long???) i ought to break down and tell you a little about myself. so,
here goes::
i was born in 1973 in atlanta georgia. ive lived the suburban thing most of my
life in duluth ga, a wonderful town, but because of ennui, one im hoping to
leave upon graduation.
life was relatively uncomplicated and uneventful until high school. like many
kids i had a rotten time in high school, but it gave me time to develop unique
musical tastes and the ability to pursue them. along with my sister (forever
my record shopping partner in crime) i discovered depeche mode, erasure, and
all manner of other late 80s techno pop. when i was around 16 i started going
to boys and girls, a teen club in atlanta where i heard even more interesting
stuff from europe and developed a fondness for dancing. at the same time i
was listening to a lot of gothicky type stuff and the old "alternative teen" standbys (cure, morissey, et al). music was all i really had an interest in in hs
outside of sewing.
in 1989 a friend in england send me a wonderful 7" single by some band called
808 state, the tune was "pacific". i had never heard anything like it - dance
music with no words and beautiful instrumentals. i loved it and started buying
up lots of these new "techno" records. a trip to england when i was 17 was what
really got me into this type of music. i waited around a year or so for raves to hit atlanta and between 1991 and now ive been raving, with a little time left
out for burnout and lulls in the local scene.
now im a college student looking forward to graduatingg in the fall of this
year and getting on with being in the real.world.:) ideally in the future i'll
be doing something in the fashion business, doing something in the rave scene, and being near my love, dan:)

Becky Thomas
HI there!!
I guess I should tell you all a little about myself huh? ;)
My name is Becky Thomas, and I am almost 19. I'm a freshman at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Right now I am a declared double major in chemistry and education, with a theater minor. But like all things in my life will be changed soon! I have decided
to teach English, Theater, and Speech instead of Chemistry! =) But that will probably change too... I guess I kinda like Miami, but I don't think that I'm completly happy here. It must have something to do with the umm boarding school attitdue many people
here have. *sigh* I'm here for the education.. At least that's what I need to keep telling myself! =)
I'm fairly new to the rave scene. But I'm doing my share of catch-up on the parties. I'm really glad to have found Jen Palmer up here at Miami for she is the main source of all my rides, and the one mainly held responsible for getting me in the scene! AN
D I LOVE IT!! I am finding out each weeknd that the midwest holds some of the most wonderful people in the world!! And some of the bestest dancers too!! I'm really glad that I've gotten to meet all the people that I have so far! YOU'RE ALL WONDERFUL!!
This IS the energizer snugglebunny, so that should give some hint as to what my personality is like... I'm a very energetic, happy kid! If you see me at a party, I'll ALWAYS have a HUGE smile on my face and a hug awaiting you!! =) I'm really friendly, an
d super giggly! Just ask anyone who went to St. Louis with me! ;) I love to dance dance dance! (Why is this starting to sound like a personals ad???)
There are a few things that are a major big part of my existence. One is theater. I've been onstage since I was merely the age of five, and without theater I would probably waste away. Another thing is music.... I love all kinds of music, but feel that I
can totally express myself through my dancing and just can feel myself and my life being poured out from the beautiful and many different sounds of techno. My favorites right now are acid of any kind, and happy hardcore. But like everything else these to
o are subject to change!! =)
Well, I've said enough for now, so I'll see ya'all on vrave or at the parties!!
LET THERE BE HOUSE!!
*hugs-n-smooches*

To all fellow v-ravers,
I am a CS major here at Boston University and a relatively new
comer to the rave scene (What's a rave?). I have lived in the small town
of Caledonia, NY (20 miles SW of Rochester) and I absolutely love it here
in Boston. I have always loved music and believe it to be the only thing
that keeps me going at times and now that I am into raves I have found
that the scene is one that I will stay with for a while. I was
introduced to it by my roommate Ian, whom most of you know, and now get
to listen to teckno almost 24-7 with the non-stop jungle beat playing on
the tables. ;) Blah...there is not much else to say...Keren has
informed me that my picture will soon be on hyperreal so if you don't
know what I look like, you soon will! :) Big ups to all... Talk to you...

Bill Walsh
Hey, you wacky bunch O' VRavers...
I'm Bill Walsh, a freshman at Boston University majoring in Computer Science.
I'm from New York, from a suburb called Westchester, which is 25 min. above NYC.
I have met a bunch of NetRavers here in Boston, and they really are a great bunch of people
(especially zoinks...hehehe). Anyway, I am fortunate enough to live in the same dorm
building as ian, ben, miked, kirsten, and hannibal, so if I'm not on VRave at 5 in the
morning, you can DEFINITELY find me bouncing off the walls of Ian's room, strung out
on ephedrine.
I'm starting to spin (what else is new) and spin mostly Happy Hardcore and some
jungle. I haven't spun at a party yet, but cross your fingers. Otherwise I listen
to Industrial, some hip-hop and some hardcore.
I have a large collection of OK Soda Cans.
See you on the 'Net.

Am currently living in Orinda, CA., single & unattached,
with my two seal point siamese cats, Ernesto Kitty & Archemedes and am
a licensed & certified massage therapist. I have a background in
Electrical Engineering specifically Test Engineering, and am a
Certifed Electronic Technician. I was born and raised in the suburbs
of Philadelphia, PA, where all of my family still live. I have one older
sister, married, and one younger half brother who's in college.
I dropped out of high school in the 10 grade due to extreme
personal distress over family issues, but went back and obtained my
GED. I then went to a technical school and got my certification as a
electronic tech. The job market took a nose dive due to Reaganomics
and I found being a tech wasn't challenging enough for me. So I went
out took my SATS and decided to go to college, Temple University,
this was in the very early eighties. I was a punk rocker back then,
and saw a lot of really cool bands like Minor Threat, when they were
minors, DOA, UK SUBS, Toxic Reasons, The Dickies, Sisters of Mercy!!!! ...etc.
Well while I was in college I went through a lot of different
modes tring to earn a living, educate myself, and have fun. Working
full time, with school full time, nights, days its all a burr to me
now. All this time while in school I was luckially working in my field
of choice which was Engineering. I really like being an engineer, being
able to go out in the world and know how everything pretty much works,
gives me a real sense of personal power. As a engineer I worked in the
miltary aerospace field, computers(OKIDATA), hispeed rail mass transist,
and some electro-biological/chemical stuff.
Well my positions kept getting better as a engineer and eventually took
a position as a lead Test Engineer on a hispeed mass transist rail project for
Metro North, New Yory City Commutter Rail Authoity. It was a nightmare of
a project that I inherted. We were making 10 locomotives for them, the project was
3 years behind schedule, and we were getting hit with $10K/day in liquidated damages.
The first 2 vehicles at that point were already free to Metro-North. I don't
know whether it was the 80 hour weeks, not counting traveling time, or the 24 hour days,
or my companies attitude that they owned me, but eventually colapsed due to
stress, and politics. At that point I decided to leave corporate America
and my passion for technology.
I had been receiving massage where I was living at in Ithaca, NY for the past
six months before the colapse, and it helped be greatly. One therapist told me how
wonderful massage school was, and how it had changed her life. She said Brian if you never
practice massage when you get out, you will carry what you will learn
about the human body, mind and spirit for the rest of your life. So loving massage, who doesn't,
I decided to use some vocational rehabilation money that was due me, and went to
the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, FL.
So I made the journey down to the southland, a place where I had
never been before. Massage school and Gainesville were great, thats were
I got really turned on to Techno, they have a very strong, organized
scene in North Central Florida. Gainesville has a club called Simion's
which is the main stay of Techno in the town of Gainesville.
There was only one place to go in G-ville to hear the music, so everyone
knew each other. Lots of love, in an area that had a lot of race/political hate still.
I graduated from massage school, took my state boards, passed yeah!!!!, and decided
to move once again to a place I had never been before, San Francisco, CA. I remember driving out here
me, my jeep and my two kitties across country. I had a lot of doubt, was this
the right thing for me, what was I doing, I didn't have a place to live, didn't know a sole. But something
drew me out here. I got what I call a sign that I was meant to out here in the middle of the Arizona desert.
I got pulled over my an Arizona State Trooper for speeding. As he was walking up my car, both my cats jumped
from the back seat into my lap to greet the police officer. They started screaming at him, they were protecting
me. The police officer asked me for my license and regisration and I couldn't find them, due to the fact that all
my stuff was spread over my car and the U-Haul trailor I was pulling. So I begged him that I was just tring
to get to Cali, with these two cats and that I was real sorry that I wasn't paying attention. Well he walked back
to his car and am thinking all this way just to end up in jail. He came back to
my car and handed me a warning and said get the hell out of the state, and believe me
I did. Thats when I knew I was supposed to be here, because it will never happen again.
Well, I made it to Cali alright, despite getting rear ended 150 miles
into the state while on I5. The only negative thing that been happening is tring
to find a good group living situation. The 1st two situations were really bad, violent sick people,
that tried to hurt me. But we all need to take the good with the bad, this
area is beautiful to look at and filled with beautiful kind people.
Its soo nice being here, you can see by my path that I did it my way
and because of that was always on the outside. Moving here I went from being "weird", to being celabrated.
I love the energy, the people, and the feel to this area and never want
to go back.
For extra money I do massage at raves, I'm sure you've seem me and my table.
Make sure you stop by and say hello, I mite not be able to talk with you right then, especially if
I have my hands on a client. But would really like to meet you all. I'm a bit of a New Yorker in the
sense that I feel everyone is worth meeting, everyone has something important and meaningful to say,
and that experience is everything. I'm slowly getting back into technology, but
its on my terms today, no more suits for me, not unless its the only way I
can make money.
I love myself today to much to allow things like money to ruin
and hurt me. I love my clients, the people who allow me to touch and facillate
their healing energy. So I hope you will come up and introduce yourselfs, because
I think your worth meeting, because I am and your no different than me. So don't
be shy, there's no time for that. See ya :)

Celestial Moon Rose Keller
Hey :) ! My name is Celestial Moonroz....so when you see me on
vrave please don't ask what my real name is. I'm a Leo (August 9) of 21
years...I've been raving for the past 2 years...
I grew up as the daughter of a hippie mother...I was an only
child for the first 13.5 years of life then I attained 2 half brothers
and one half sister. I was born outside of Philly but moved to North
Carolina when I was 2. I lived there for 14 years and was rewarded with
a wonderful slow southern drawl. Which I had to dispense with when I
moved back to Philly to finish High School...I lost one accent and
recieved another...Now I tend to talk too fast to actually form coherent
and identifiable words...(Whacha hup ta?)...etc
I found the rave scene through my best friend Johnny B. and Eric
(founding father of T.H.C. productions). Techno has pulled me through
a lot in the past two years...(ie 8 days in the hospital for 3 blot clot
in my leg...and inablity to walk for 2 months).
I attend Kutztown University and yes Bill Clinton is coming here
on Jan.25. I'm a Telecommunications Production major with a "minor" in
Public Relations and Journalism. Sound is my one love! And I plan to
devote my career to it in some creative way. I dig Bb/Jungle...Trance....and Hardcore
I tried not too make this too long but definetly too late for that! huh?..:)
