Subject: [ne-raves] Black Monolith Records News

http://blackmonolith.com

On May 15th Black Monolith Records will be releasing BMR011 and BMR012

BMR011 is produced by Wilfuck of France. This record is a hard
pounding yet melodic barrage of doomcore.

BMR012 comes Dr Strange straight out of Ireland bringing us a mixer of
quality doomcore and PCP influenced tracks.

These are both records to not miss.

Within the next 7 months you will be hit with tons of releases from
BMR and our various sub-labels. Up coming in the next few months will
be BMR013 produced by the Man Unknown of Germany, this again is a very
PCP and techno influenced EP followed by Satronica vs Lowtek with a
dark pounding industrial influenced EP. Also planned for this summer
is a Night Stalker EP, The Uninvited both bringing us with more
doomcore sound. The Horrorist bringing his brand of hardcore, along
with many more amazing artists. With an extra special PCP record on
the way.

Fear Records: DJ Hidden is finishing up the masters for his release on
Fear04 so stay tuned for one of the best DnB producers out there bring
his brand of Darkstep to BMR's new sub-label fear records.

We are finalizing the BMT releases so far we have some great talent
lined up and expect to have our first release out by the start of the
summer.

as several of you have noticed, my radio show on friday nights is a great
chance to launch 'hilarious' prank phone calls to the publically listed
radio station. it takes a real trolling genius to look up whus.org's reques=
t
line and call it between midnight and 2am on friday evenings est and make
farting noises and hang up. now, i know who ever did this was a musical typ=
e
person because of the unique quality of the delay i noticed after the
farting echo died down -- a classy touch, by any measure. none the less, it
was in poor taste, and you should be ashamed of yourself, whoever you are.
my radio show is not about pleasing the people who may happen to have more
discerning taste than me who happen to tune in to WHUS.ORG on the web
fridays at midnight, or are driving through connecticut or parts of western
mass and receive 91.7FM, until recently CT's # 1 station, it's about showin=
g
off my massive collection of songs that are in some way defective, or just
of great utility to the public awareness. i don't do it for the abuse i get
on AIM, or on the phone, or people driving up to the station at 1501 storrs
road. seriously, guys, okay? just wise up and either take it seriously or
don't tune in -- mkay?

not that it's particularly good, or especially well mixed for a crowd like

with manicproductions.org will be presenting an evening of high-minded
sillyness and very basic stoicism with

DOORMOUSE: he is really big on the internet and makes loud noises. he has
been spotted wearing odd clothing on occasion. approach with caution
you can be his friend at myspace.com/doormouse

HRVATSKI has been spotted at both berklee and harvard, and is rumoured to
know more than you about max patches.
collect them all at myspace.com/hrvatski

SCRAPE DX: is an electronic musician in connecticut that the advocate
newspaper has paid someone to write about. that's usually more than enough,
but in addition this kid is also a myspace poet. check it out at
myspace.com/scrapedx

i've been spelling HNATIW's name wrong for 2 months now. it's spelled
http://myspace.com/HNATIW. by human measurements, these guys rock.

KIRDEC is the masterful masterer behind ad noiseam. there is aught to do bu=
t
stand in awe of a dude who takes releases from the noisest harshest
highest-number-of-clicking-sounds per capita record labels ANT ZEN & AD
NOISEAM and polishes them into portraits of a razorblade.

DJ NEVERMIND never minds the soft shit -- just so long as its fucking
hardcore soft shit. bring a mask, this DJ will take your face.

Massive Audio & theDISTRICT are proud to welcome
TOMMIE SUNSHINE (International Dee Jay Gigolos / xjR / Systematic) to =20=

Albany!

May 12th 2006
The Red Square
388 Broadway
Albany, NY 12207

$8 | 18+ | 9pm

Massive Audio has been the most influential force in =20
Albany=92s Electronic music scene. For years they have brought top =20
name DJs & producers to Albany. Since partnering with the Red =20
Square, Albany=92s newest music venue, Massive Audio=92s shows have only =
=20
gotten better and the bigger crowds are proof positive. May 12th we =20
are proud to welcome international superstar Tommie Sunshine.

Influenced by equal parts of Kraftwerk, AC/DC, and =20
Farley Jackmaster Funk, mid-west rave legend and Brooklyn, NY =20
resident Tommie Sunshine is raising the bar. Covering ground as =20
artist, remixer, producer, label owner, DJ and songwriter and with =20
his legendary hybrid of live performance and DJ sets now traveling =20
the globe it won=92t be long before there will be, at least a little, =20=

Tommie Sunshine in your life.

His studio collaborations have included Felix Da =20
Housecat, James Murphy, Arthur Baker, Mylo and DJ Hell; he has played =20=

everywhere from the Electroclash festivals in New York to Bjork=92s =20
tour wrap party in Reykjavik to serving as support DJ on the Spring =20
2003 leg of Fischerspooner=92s North American tour to opening for New =20=

Order in London to Colette parties in Paris beside 2 Many DJs to Vice =20=

Magazine launch parties in Tokyo and he has rocked crowds in Mexico =20
City, Barcelona, Munich, Sao Paulo, Berlin & Rio di Janeiro. But far =20=

from an overnight sensation - the spotlight has been a long time =20
coming for Tommie - after six years in Georgia where he ran Satellite =20=

Records - Atlanta and held down two residencies at Club Sol and =20
Fusion, he moved back to Chicago for four years establishing club =20
nights ElectroSweat and Degeneration, holding down the position of =20
promotional director of the Midwest dance mecca Dust Traxx and being =20
named in URB magazine=92s =91Next 100=92. As a member of Thee Maddkatt =20=

Courtship with longtime collaborator Felix Da Housecat, Tommie co-=20
produced "Cosmic Pop" for ffrr/London Records and worked again with =20
Felix & Miss Kittin - co writing =93Silver Screen=94, =93Happy Hour=94 =
and =20
=93Glitz Rock=94 - on the award winning 2002 =93Kittenz & Thee Glitz=94 =
LP =20
that Thom Yorke of Radiohead is quoted in URB Magazine saying, =93That =20=

should have been fucking number one all over the world=94.

In addition, Tommie has been featured in print magazines =20=

such as The Face, Self Service, Muzik, URB, Mixer, Big Shot, Filter, =20
BPM, XLR8R, Teen People, Spin, Rolling Stone, Time Out, Raveline, iDJ =20=

and Groove in addition to newspapers such as The New York Times, =20
Village Voice (NYC), The Reader (Chicago), Miami Herald, Boston =20
Weekly Dig, City Pages (Minneapolis), Houston Chronicle, LA Weekly =20
and Creative Loafing (Atlanta).

Also appearing that night will be local DJ legends like =20
Scooby Carolan, Lodge Johnson, Don Stone, & Jason Balance as well as =20
top local talent like The Brothers Wheeler, Shaman, Subvert, Jay =20
Travis, and Natalie C.=
