"Rave" ... It was oriented toward teen and preteen girls and contained
girlie things like makeup tips, relationship advice, and interviews and
photos of hunky pop bands like Small Faces. What makes it interesting is
the parallel between this pseudo-psyche imagery and today's retro
fashions, and the ubiquitous use of the word rave.
